"https://www.dayuse.ie/s/ireland I used this site the other day to book lovely room in Jury's for the ironically priced €69 You have use of the day room hotels between 9-5. There's 11 to choose from in Dublin and there's none for the rest of the country. Do country Fabbers not like riding in the daytime You don't need a credit card to make the booking and you can pay in cash at the hotel. Which I'm sure might suit a lot of people here! All in all highly recommend. It suits me perfectly as I find it hard to get night away from kids " This would be very handy, must look it up. A morning meet in a hotel would be great as I work evenings. All I need is someone to join me

Up until this month the one we use most often always took cash. Now if you're paying cash you also have to give them a £100 damage deposit however payment by card didn't require it. I guess it varies from hotel to hotel

"I've used Jury's in Cork a couple of times. Usually between 60-70yoyo's Don't think they take cash payment as they need a card linked to the room. Revolut works just fine " They wouldn’t take revolut on tap a few weeks ago. Maybe if you had the actual card?

"Can guests get to the rooms in any of these hotels without a room key? So for example if I was waiting on a guest would I need to go and meet them or could they just arrive at my room door and knock? Never heard of these rooms before but what a great idea " My meet was in Jury's Christchurch I had to come down to them in lobby as you need key for lift

Same as Visa. Or use physical card. Mine is separate to main bank account, no statement, only on phone and never been refused personally.
