What is the best way to construct a hotel meet?

Meet somewhere before hand or ask the other party (parties) to just meet you in the room

Looking forward to answers on this

Depends on the type of meet, if its a one person, or a couple you are meeting.

For me I will have already met them socially, any hotel meet I normally have checked in before they arrive and just tell them the room no.

Sorry I should of specified, you have met them socially before. I’ve always been a fan of the lady being in the room when I arrive

I don't think there's any hard and fast rule. Sometimes I've gotten there first and either told her the room number and let her make her way up or, if the hotel won't let you in the lift without a card, I've come down to meet her in the lobby. Other times, we've checked in together or she's checked in first.

Typically, I'll meet them in the foyer or coffee area, more out of manners than anything else. I've been asked to meet them in the room as well, but it really depends on how well you know the person or persons.

If meeting a couple I will always book it for them and tell them the check in name and communicate with them.on my arrival.

If meeting single then its a case of who gets there first.

Always have it prepaid

Definitely wait in the room for them to arrive but ifs it's an overnight stay probably meet them in the bar first.....

As a couple, we usually go to our room, relax a bit then E will go and meet them in the lobby when they arrive

Would depend on what the other person or couple was comfortable doing..would usually meet for a drink in the bar and relax ..then head for the room then for the fun side .

My preference would be to have a drink of some sort and a bit of a chat if I've only met them socially.

If I have met them previously for more then I'm ok going straight to the room.

If its overnight, I might bring a bottle with me, to drink off each other

Hmm depends on the risk of not making back to the room before starting to rip their clothes off, had a slightly embarresing moment in a lift when it stopped the floor below ours and we were already half naked

Whatever. Lifts with card keys can be a problem. Booking.com usually shows pictures of shower fixtures which is important for those into anal. Imodium also helps if it’s going to be an all nighter or longer!

East / North, Cork

As a couple... get 2 room keys. Meet in the hotel bar. 1 half of the couple goes up to the room first with 1 room key. The other half hangs I'm the bar for a drink and then go up to the room together with the second key. To the casual observer there is nothing weird going on.

I like this plan it’s the most straight forward

I'd say few drinks in the bar first if haven't already met socially to break the ice so to speak then follow them upto a room...if an overnight stay it maybe paid in advance and share the hotel bill too! Would never expect someone to foot the bill for the night x
