It’s always good to have competition, I was delighted they won the 5 and then 6 in a row to make history but there in a rebuilding phase now, kerry we’re in the same position as Dublin we’re a few years ago it’s part of the game

"Love it!!! After all those years of financial doping"

But nothing has changed in terms of funding? So why arent they still winning?

Returning players and change of management have meant its a transition stage now for the Dubs, they will still piss Leinster but their present impasse gives other teams hope of winning against them the fear factor is gone from them for now.

This becoming the weekly Anti - Dublin , we’ve still got the biggest bag of chips on our shoulders culchies rant . Keep it up lads , only showing your inferiority complexes .

Maybe start a support for your own team instead of the hating bullshit .

Simple all the others have caught up.

Retirements is just the scape goat. Very few players where core players for more than a couple of years. The turn over in players for the past 7 years was constant.

dublin

can we not just say the better team won on the day & less of the anti dublin OR anti mayo sentiment! dublin are the best team of gaa history (and of most recent history) only kerry came close. but even the best teams has to form and regroup, im not convinced on dessie or the lesser quality players available to him than was availablein the past.

mayo were good last night and always the best runners up of recent history but until they win Sam, that's all they will ever be.

take your eye off the northern counties will be your downfall! Winter is coming for Sam

The dubs are still a good team and every team has to rebuild and changer managers but it was 5 points between then mayo was the better team in the day

Why do people hate seeing other teams or people doing really well. When teams are successful or individuals there are always people wanting them to fail ..... begrudging other is an awful thing to do.

Is it not the entire nature of sport that you want your team to win but other teams to fail? You literally need other teams to fail for yours to win.

Fans want their team to win and by association, want every other team to fail. It's just the nature of playing and being a fan of sport.

Dublin gets way more funding and has better pitches etc than the rest of the country.

I expect better facilities and more opportunities for people who don't live in Dublin

Maybe if you culchies put your hand in your pockets and support your county and your underage players instead of buying Liverpool and man utd jerseys . ..every where dublin support goes they outnumber the home support. Get a life and cut out the jealousy

Exactly , they’re all too busy slagging off Dublin to actually go and support their own counties team. The financial support thing is bollox also , players win games , it’s not 15 wallets running around the pitch .

Of course fans want their team to win but you won’t find many forums like “isn’t it a delight Laois lost “ “damn you Waterford bastards “

Theres a big difference between wanting the other team to lose and the 31 Vs 1 which has been the case since forever .

See it not just the Dubs. It most teams or individuals who are successful over a long period of time.

While they are been successful people run then down and begrudge them.

When they are no longer successful and have retired people look back on them with more respect and admiration.
