Let's talk about spoons

Do you collect them, play them, polish them or were you born with a silver one in your gob?

They aren't as aggressive as their cutlery colleagues (except in the capable hands of an Irish mammy) but have a more rounded personality.

Maybe you like to spoon or if you suffer from chronic illness you might be aware of Spoon theory?

How about using one as a cure for hiccups or testing for lung or gastric issues?

Are you an aggressive stirrer or do you stir therapeutically?

So many questions, so many spoons!

My parents are married 50yrs today and recently my dad found a wedding gift of 6 silver teaspoons in a wooden display case they had gotten. He got each of the six grandkids names on the back of the spoons and gave it to my mum....

They keep a spoon in their top pocket to save time if a customer drops one they have a replacement and pick up another when they get back to the kitchen. It's a great time saving tip.

They also have a piece of string hanging from their fly to save hand washing time when they pop to the loo. They just use the string to pull the little lad out and hold him steady.

When they've finished and need to tuck him away again without using their hands...... they always carry a spoon in their top pocket.

When we were born we fed by the magic airplane spoon

When we were older and bolder we were clobbered by then

When we like lazy Saturday mornings, we like dip them in our cappuccino latte or hot toddy’s later on a winters night

When we have connection with someone we like to be cuddled in them

When we are many years together we like to be celebrated by them

When we are musical we play on the knee

Lastly when we go on hols we get from different places
