Actually no not everyone can .A man has just passed away from it in my workplace. It was passed to him by a relative who was in close contact and did a PCR and decided she didn't have to wait for her results before she decided to visit him,well she was positive and she passed it to him and he died from it.So no not everyone will survive.And if she hadn't had such a blase attitude he would still be alive. And while yes I completely agree life has to carry on at this stage it's been too long.There has to be some accountability for when people are visiting or dealing vunerable people. While most will survive those that don't will die in a horrific way. And I personally have seen enough of that over the last few years to last me a lifetime so yes I will still wear my mask not only in work but when out in shops and while it won't do a lot to keep me safe at least I know if I have it and I don't realise I won't be passing it on to others as easily as if I wasn't wearing one. If that's an issue for others I don't give a damn to be honest. People will do whatever they want anyhow and I gave up a long time ago getting bothered about it. The only time I will get pissed off is when people do something like that person did and while she didn't get sick at all that man lost his life. | |||

Then she threw abuse at staff when they asked her to please put her mask on.She didn't even seem to be that bothered when she rang a few hours later to tell us she was positive. And yes people like that piss me off immensely but sadly it's not an unusual attitude either that she had. I never said it should continue for everyone I did say when visiting and dealing with vunerable people. And I said why I continue to wear mine in shops etc. | |||

No mask wearing necessary except when I was in The ulster museum when I was asked to put one on
It's not necessary because there are no restrictions but there is freedom of choice in most places. I'm in 30-40 coffee shops every week and since restrictions were lifted some have removed screens and staff are no longer wearing masks while others are carrying on as before. "The difference with the museum is that instructions have yet to be passed down to them because of the collapse of the Executive and departments not sure what to do and not having the authority to do it. EHO's are in the same position and they are continuing to wear masks going into premises until they receive further instruction. | |||

"up to now I have seen alot in shops wear masks but outside of shops its practically non existent. now it remains to be seen after this week, will it continue in a high % in shops. I was in about 7 different pubs and two late bars last weekend, not a single person wearing them. Following government advice is one thing, following the advice of the vast majority of medical professionals and others who think relaxing or doing away with mask wearing at a time where we have over 6000 people dead in this country (including over a 100 deaths so far this year) and 66000 cases in the last two weeks is very much different.
We dont have 6000 dead, thats a made up figure. Even the government have confirmed that. Its even close to that figure.
Also, can you explain to me what the point of wearing a facemask when even now only a fraction of people are wearing them.

So my job requires me to wear a mask...even before covid I'd have to wear one....
Now the mask wasn't for my protection...it was to ensure I didn't continimate any area I was asked to work in...the same was for the clothes I wore even down to my work shoes/boots
If these masks are ineffective can you give me solid links to where this is and I'll show my employer and we can laugh about how foolish we have all been

Moisture is the answer to some of these industries, dust/tiny particle contamination and Moisture for electronics. Without knowing the industry it's impossible to answer your question, but you should at least know what purpose they are advised to serve, you should understand this. If you worked in Intel in a FAB you would understand the reason for wearing a clean room suit! Moisture, contamination particles and electrical charge reasons.
Cloth and medical "blue masks" do nothing in stopping a covid virus as the particles are 3 times smaller than Moisture particles.
Again, why don't we all know this? It's not complicated, safety/clean protective clothing etc. has a purpose in some environments. It's mainly Moisture related.
