While an important part of arranging a meet, or getting verified, meeting for just a cuppa itself, with no intent to lead on to something else I feel is underrated. So putting it out there for anyone who just fancies a time out and a bit of a natter - why not just meet up with each other for a bit of chat?

I always presume that the first meet will be a social chat, bonus if there is cake as I do love me some cake.

If things don't click then there should be no pressure to do anything else, just leave it there and move on. Sure you could end up friends even (without benefits) which is nice as well.

Why would someone join a swingers site,just to meet someone for a coffee?

Surely meeting someone through fab for a coffee,is to get a feeling for that person,to see if both wish to take things further?

If you don't wish to meet for the possibility of being intimate,then surely you would have a much better response on some non swinger/sex related meet up site?

That's my thoughts on the matter anyway

It's about levels of expectation. How often had it been said that just because someone agrees to meet doesn't mean they are agreeing to shag and men are told to approach as if they are in a pub or coffee shop.

I've met people when we both knew beforehand that geography and time restrictions meant it would never lead to anything more than a coffee and some of my best friends through fab were through no pressure coffee meets.

I have met a few with the initial thought of maybe taking it further but no attraction etc and one of two of the guys have turned into very good friends so why not.

Everyone is here for different reasons and it's their fab journey.

It's wonderful Op you see it as just coffee and a chat. I've had few occasions where men thought coffee equals a car meet for a blowjob. One guy complained he'd come all this week (20 mins) would I not get into the car to blow him as this was Fab after all and there didn't need to be a attraction for me. So I'm very cautious now about who I get coffee with.

We didnt join fab *just* for coffee meets but having met a couple we get along with, we've met them for lunch and a chat with no play and none expected. It's an opportunity to chat about the lifestyle with others cos it's not exactly something you're gonna bring up with your mates down the pub

Coffee meets have their advantages for those who want to chat with others and create a network of friends.

no, you just meet people at shorter distances. also everybody doesn't need a tea coffee. I spoke to 2 women on here before covid who don't do tea coffee meets at all. they video chat on kik etc.

I would say no. I insist on a social so any coffee meet will always be arranged with no expectations.

I definitely wouldn't travel for more than an hour. If someone is interested in meeting me then I expect them to make the same effort.

With distance comes greater expectation. I've driven up to 3 hours each way for a coffee but that gave the woman the impression I would be happy to have sex with her and make my trip worthwhile and on other occasions there was a "you've done it once so why won't you do it again?" attitude.

I'm more than happy to meet just for a coffee but only for those with no expectations beyond that.

I must have sat at every table in Junction 14 by now drinking tea with people off Fab. I have lots of platonic friends from the community. I don't need to be fucking them all. Meeting these people have given me a great insight into Fab

I've met several people off here for coffee both knowing before we met that it was never going to be anything but platonic. So you are wrong in your presumption that it's always based around wanting sex.

Social coffees are great.

Yeah, sometimes it translates into future fun.

Other times it doesn't for whatever reason but you remain chatty and friendly on Fab.

I've been lucky and met some really nice people from here over a cuppa

I have a very flexible job time in a very handy location so I am happy to take coffee meets. No problem travelling either.

Whatever would be the attraction everybody deserve a smile and respect so, I do enjoy this kind of meetings.

If a coffee meet become on a xoffee … because chemistry works… as most of the times happens… then coffee meet ups are perfect, wonderful and exciting.

I never skip the chance and I love the Costa Coffee tourist tour.
