Okay,we had a long chat in work last week about sambos and what was the best to make at home.Its amazing how varied and extreme some can be.So here was mine,fresh door step bread with butter,Ballymaloe relish,freshly cut warm roast beef,thinly cut red onion,ice berg lettuce,cherry vine tomatoes and coleslaw.I always add a handful of Hunky Dorys(cheddar cheese flavour)along with a fresh cup of hot tea

Now tell me,what's your fabbers?

This is such a loaded question. There's a sandwich for every mood.

Very basic but delicious is sourdough, strong mature cheddar and sriracha, toasted. Nothing else, no butter or anything.

Batch bread, toasted, lashings of Seville marmalade and crispy fake bacon.

Brennan's, buttered, mayo'ed, sliced cheese, small bit of coleslaw, very thinly sliced beef tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion and walkers cheese and onion (they're nicer than tayto. Bite me).

Obviously me and two very hot men from my hot list

However in normal circumstances

2 slices fresh white bread, a little bit of butter on each slice, in a bowl chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber mixed with some mayo and spread onto the bread.

At a wedding - has the be egg and onion sandwichs its not a wedding otherwise

And my go to sandwich/ roll if not cooking dinner

A demi baguette cut in half, spread tomato puree on each piece, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, than chopped peppers, some jalapeño, grated cheddar cheese and some goats cheese , sprinkle few chilli flakes and grill till cheese is melted mmmm

The Reuben from Sayers in Belfast is deeeeeelicious.

A close second is my boxing day Christmas Dinner sandwich - turkey, ham, two kinds of stuffing, cranberry sauce, bread sauce and a ladder to climb it

I don't have a go to sandwich but there is a place on Pearse St called the Pig and Heifer and they do massive New York style sandwiches.

I can never make up my mind from their extensive menu and always ask the guy to just throw something together for me. He asks how hungry I am from 1-10 and makes me a sandwich on that basis.

My God, they're unreal. If anyone ever tries it, you wont be disappointed.
