Nails advice ladies

I got my nails done 8/9 day's ago and had gel put on and put a sexy round shape on them. I can't get them done for at least another week or more and are gone very long which is getting some attention from other people. My question is can i file them down myself even though i have gel on??

If they are gel you would need a high grit nail file say around 150 and be prepared for a lot of dust also. Just be careful you dont file into nail bed and also dont saw at them

I am only looking to shorten the length and still want the gel on them. Hope that's still ok to do

Yeah use the higher grit of 150 to get them down to wgatever length and use a 180/240 to buff the edges then so u wont have sharp corners or anything catching
