Too good looking

Jump to newest

Was texting a localish woman on here things were going good, got to the point of swapping face pictures. I went first…. Message back saying she recognised me from school years ago and I was out of her league, I was too good looking. Wouldn’t bother sending hers as she “knew” I would not be interested in her.

A polite way of saying no or genuine ?

I would take what she said at face value.

She thinks you'll not be interested in her bc she thinks you're good looking and she doesn't have that same opinion of herself.

She might also think you're shallow.

I had a similar experience, texting a girl, all going great and potential meet arranged and then the ‘face pic’ text happened. She replied ‘fuck, no way!’ , and yeah, I knew it was because she felt i was out of her league. It’s just part of the process .

Or is leading him on to believe that when in fact she might not even know him and it's quite the opposite she's not actually into him at all. Or she could be a he you never know what on here who's begind the screen, we should rename this place "fake fab" ha ha.

Interesting tactic, stroking the ego to dampen the blow of being turned down... it might help to cut down on abuse, but there's a way simpler way of doing so.

This thread reminds me of the plane episode in Father Ted

"I should get the parachute because I'm great. In fact I think I should get both parachutes in case one doesn't work"

I have often ghosted someone for this reason as I don't see why they would be interested in me when they could actually have anyone they wanted. I don't have the perfect body, I ain't the best looking and can be a cunt so my brain goes into over drive and be like why would a good looking lad want sex from me?

A man's approach could be anything from 'every hole is a goal' to finding you totally sexy just the way you are. So why are making the decision for him?

Besides you're reducing everything down to looks and looks = success. How can you be sure they could have everyone they wanted?
