I don’t think it’s a one size fits all scenario, doing what makes you comfortable shouldn’t make you any less genuine than your opposite in my opinion.

Getting someone who understands the dynamic that must exist for it to be successful is another thing altogether.

I have some previous experience of being a bull in a cuckold scene. From my rather limited experience, most cuckold men find it a very liberating to get a brief respite from the sole responsibility of pleasuring their wives.

Plus the dynamic is different for every couple. You need a special type of lad to be able to understand what the couple is looking for and what his role is. In reverse, the couple also have to understand what that guy/bull needs to get out of it as the arrangement needs to be fun and fair for all.
