Have a good chat with him on the day. Most importantly ask him about the test which is about 10-12 weeks after the procedure. You've to keep him covered until then!!

(P.S. Please beware, your sex drive will go through the roof afterwards!!)

What's the story with sex drive after getting this done,I presume it doesn't lessen sex in any way or your sex drive in any way?

It doesn't change your sex drive in any way, its still all the same except your swimmers dont create any more little humans. I had it done back in 1998 and no regrets about it,I've always had a high sex drive

Absolutely no difference whatsoever in performance after!

I found something very liberating about it. I have a high sex-drive anyway, but something really clicked after it for me! Sex became very care free!

Would recommend to anyone finished having a family or those that have no interest in having a family.

Same as, back to work same day. It should be free for all but worth every cent.

"Any recommendations / advise where to get a Vasectomy in Dublin/kildare? "

So it's been a week since I got it done. Haven't been myself since. Don't know if it's connected but feeling very down last few days.

It does take a few weeks to get the mojo back. Well in my case it did. But best decision we made. Stick with and don’t put urself under any pressure. You will do great and get back to feeling normal again.

Taking time to focus on relaxing and keeping my mind busy on other pastimes was what I put myself into after getting mine done. Take things slow first, the constant minor pain initially, and extra care you're taking will slow you down for a while, but you'll be back to full speed within a month.

Occasionally I've had a flare up where the knot is and have to remember to do this again, but that's super rare and probably because I overdid it with walking too much about a week and a half after it was done. A good excuse to treat yourself well in the meantime!

Is this feeling connected to having a vasectomy, or maybe something else going on in your life? Some men feel less than 100% manly when they realise they can't father a child anymore. For others there's a feeling of liberation. Surround yourself with friends who can support you, slow down, take time off work if you can.

Agree with the above, some men view and feel these things differently.

I had finished having a family, I was 100% up for it, I skipped out the door to the doctors. Never looked back!

Relax, take time to take it in. It's a big step for some people. My personal experience is that it was very much worthwhile!

Something to cheer things up, when I explained that I had a vasectomy once, the woman turned around and said "oh, a party penis!". Something to look forward to

In 2022 I'm sure all proper / doctors offer an equally professional service. It's not really a job that needs a recommendation.

Ps don't do a back lane save a tenner job ... or get your iPhone screen fixed when you are waiting.

Other than that just to say ... if you are in the place in life where you want to reassure yourself that you no longer want to have kids.

Then regardless of location etc It's a safe procedure that may take pressure off that could make sex far better.

It certainly won't make it worse ...It's up to you how you use your new powers

Done many years ago, its fairly much painless despite what you might presume and even the discomfort was very passing. Best decision for my mental health ever - complete peace of mind. Its very routine, would strongly recommend to anyone who is done having kids - its not an emasculation .

I got it done by a Dr Lynn in drogheda about 20 years ago. we didn't want anymore kids, so getting it done was the best decision I ever made.
