Broken over cleaning the oven

What a f**king cruel chore to have to do ...well, not have to but I seem to have this urge upon me

After scrubbing for hours with degreaser, washing up liquid, steel wool, my hands are in pieces but I'm still not there

I should have hired a professional...

What household chores do you put off forever and indefinitely? (and any advice appreciated on tips or tricks)...

Sounds easier to just buy a new oven.

I hate vacuuming, the noise bothers me and when I put headphones on, I imagine that there is someone hiding in the house just waiting for me to do that so they can kill me

somewhere

I firmly believe in paying a professional to do work around the house

Oven Cleaning

Carpet cleaning

Chimney Sweep

Window cleaner

Painting

Hoover and ironing is my limit

Not exactly cleaning but matching socks requires patience

I hate ironing so leave it till I have no shirts left. Then get the iron out, put on Lord of the rings 1,2 and 3. Its not that i have lots of shirts, its because im so slow. Used to use an ironing service but was never happy with the quality.

Vinegar and bicarbonate of soda paste. I used to use ovenmate or something but the chemical smell gave me migraines

As a matter of principle, I do virtually no housework. If nobody else in the house does it, why should I?

"Vinegar and bicarbonate of soda paste. I used to use ovenmate or something but the chemical smell gave me migraines"

I used that to finish the job today, after having started yesterday . The oven is sparkly clean! Thanks for the tip...

Kitchen is officially decluttered and spring cleaned...now on to the next room

It is impossible to do housework virtually .

I like my home clean (I spend a lot of time there!), hence needs must ...if I could afford a cleaner... actually, I'd probably hire a chef before a cleaner - I hate cooking (must change profile name to Time2shine)

I have AEG Pyrolytic Self Cleaning oven, and couldn’t be more happier - it’s ecstatic when you open the oven (after it finished cleaning), and it looks like brand new again.

get yourself a hand steamer , works wonders . You can also soak the heißt spots first in natron with a bit of white vinegar

Youghal

Lived in army Married Quarter in the UK years ago. You had to hand the house back as tou received it, fair enough.

Refused to pay someone to clean the over so spent a coupke of days cleaning it with over the counter products. Was really pleased with the effort, it was spotless.on handover the housing authority guy wants happy and still charged me £200 to get it professionally done.

Haven't cleaned an oven since.

Place tin foil on the bottom of the oven to collect any spills, change it every so often.
