Apparently a lot of people come here to escape from Reality and are disappointed to discover I'm already here.

Anything involving mountains, rivers and forests. The best form of escapism is always outdoors.

somewhere

I usually go for a drive which clears my head and then get out into the country side to relax

Don't even have to walk far...just be on a beach or up the mountains by myself

My day job is basically looking at code and figures so I like physical activities, DIY projects and making things.

Actually went yesterday up to the mountain bike trails in slieve bloom.

Thousands of acres of forestry and all I saw were three people and one deer. Perfect way to escape and clear the mind.

A good spin on my motorbike is always a great escapism for me, nothing like it. Just hit the road and see where you end up.

Reading or gaming mainly for me.

Both let me switch odd completely and escape into a fantasy world

Sleeping, I've had times in my life where I couldn't sleep, due to stress or worries.

Now I dream again, it's great, free, harmless and peaceful.

I almost never dream, or at least never remember (except an occasional nightmare) , why is that I wonder...

A good book, visiting a book shop on a Saturday followed by a leisurely coffee reading a book just bought, a visit to the national art gallery, binge watch a good tv series especially when the weather is bad and sex !

Walking helps me get out of my head, especially if its a hard walk that puts strain on my body. I like that feeling.

Newry Down

Shinrin Yoku, aka forest bathing.

Lying on my back in a forest clearing, absorbing the sounds and smells of nature.

The very best therapy available!

Movies, beaches and forests. I get way too much of the first though and not near enough of the others, as my silhouette would prove

Any form of exercise the sea is fantastic out ob the bike cycling, walking, mindfulness/meditation. The water is great because when your head is down you don't hear anything stick in ear plugs and the peace is heavenly. Any thing to do out in the fresh air is good really.
