Entering the scene

I’m relatively new to this scene compared to most people on here and I’m trying to get more involved but it just seems impossible people don’t want to meet or talk to unverified accounts but you can’t get verified unless you talk to and meet people it seems very gatekeeped for beginners in particularly young ones

Any thoughts or suggestions for me on this?

Patience and perseverance really, it’s not a race and you’ve many many years ahead of you so just enjoy the journey.

Go to social events to meet people and get verified. When that happens you can get party invites and people may be more open to meeting you.

Social meet n greets are definitely the best way to go for the first while

Your blank silhouette for a profile pic reduces your chances of getting replies to your messages 10-fold.

Do a search on the forums, there's plenty of advice on here on how to get meets

Hello Elian and welcome. I'd add some kind of a profile photo as a blank profile is off putting, perhaps a body pic with no face. And then I'd attend a social, there are a fair few starting again now. They are a great way to mingle and get to know people and get verified. Be patient. Enjoy.

Yep, they're always advertised in the Ireland forum. Latest one here

Yes this is definitely one you could attend. The thread is called "Kikdare Social", go find it.

Plus you have gone about this the right way by asking for advice and engaging with people who have given it.

Maybe bulk up your bio as well, let people know what you can offer and inject a bit of personality.

You'll do fine, good luck

Newry Down

You'll have no problems in the long-term if you genuinely want to get into this lifestyle.

Attend socials, especially coffee meets initially and build up a list of useful contacts whom you click with; it will be slow at first, but the pace will accelerate as your reputation spreads!
