"Theoretically I should like the Irish language but the Christian Brothers schooling system and the dogmatic domineering, shove it down your throat attitude of some Irish republicans and nationalists that I formerly knew has left with an abiding hatred of the Irish language, especially when spoken with a Belfast accent. However, I love the Irish music, especially the type that is broadcast on RTE Radio One's Ceilidhe House on a Saturday night at 9. I identify with that culture, although I have never once been to an event if that type." I think it's such a shame about the Irish language really i do but some of the history behind is suggests at the time it wasn't an international language, and people needed to work outside of Ireland.

My mother used to make it a couple of times a week and it's one of my favourite foods. Lidl do a cheap but perfectly acceptable potato bread.
