The last couple of days have been particularly tough. How are you feeling?

I’m sad, exhausted and overwhelmingly angry.

I have booked my wife and three girls in to a self defence class. I’m so angry at the senseless violence against both sexes. The perpetrators seem to be untouchable and get to roam around with impunity.

And another one, and this place is contributing more than it’s fair share.

The forum has gone to shit, inflammatory, provoking and derogatory rubbish being posted all over the place.

I’m sure the mods have their problems, but it would be nice to hear what they are, while there is still anyone here to read it……

I'm just plain pissed off, I don't even have words for it. I'm just sick of this shit, of these piss poor excuses, of the couple of days of outrage before everyone goes back to normal until the next time, of the half-hearted "what can we do" while remaining in our comfortable spot of doing nothing. It hurts my brain and my heart.

Same op and as someone else said will be outrage for few days and we move on. Some days I do wonder about people and the lack of respect for others, even trying to encourage people to be nice gets pulled apart.

The same. Tired from it all. Tired from the "it's not all men" brigade. It's exhausting having to explain it to men. Grateful for my adults sons who listen to me and their girlfriends without getting defensive or shouting about men's rights.

I've two daughters. My 10 year old is striving for independence. I just feel like the overbearing protective father. I so want to release the reigns but very fearful!!

The thoughts of something happening to her is driving me to distraction.

No different from last week. My personal opinion is the the "stranger danger" narrative has had a more negative impact on making women safer. When it comes to trying to do the best for the young women in my life the reality is they are far more likely to be seriously harmed, attacked or killed by men in their lives who they love or have strong feelings for. That to me is far more frightening and requires a lot more preperation to avoid.

It has cast a shadow over many things Nationally and rightly so. So many shocking things about it .

But often how we feel is affected by how media coverage takes place .

There are many unmentionable things happening world wide and in Ireland

If we overthink all of them we ll never function

So just do the best you can for yourself and those around you . You can only control what you can and many things are beyond your control

And the world is mostly a good place

Hopefully the culprit gets caught shortly , sentenced adequately and the family get justice

Are you actually saying that women feel sad, tired and angry because of media coverage?

Another woman was murdered by a man.

Do not tell me how to feel and why I feel the way I do.

I’m livid.

I’m angry and confused and so disappointed in so many men. From men saying “don’t be over-reacting” to “it’s not all men”, im distractedly furious.

How the hell do I raise my daughters? Do I scare the shit out of them and lock them up or enable them with self awareness and jujitsu and put them at risk.

It was hard enough raising them in a country that only cared about their wombs but we’ve at least fixed that.

Arghhhhhhh

Unfortunately fab has highlighted what is wrong, even with good intentions many posters still don’t get it. Men/women/alternative should not feel any different, should not have to think about what they wear any differently, should not have to arrange how they get home any differently, should not have to think about what venue they go socialising any differently , should not worry about who they approach any differently, should but have to think about subject choices in school any differently, should not have to consider what sports they get involved in any differently …in fact nothing, absolutely nothing should be approached differently.

It’s not what is written or said. The mindset is the problem, and it won’t change until people accept equality in every aspect of society.

Oh btw, yee can send me abuse all ya want, water, duck ‘n all that
