Stockings/holdups are they comfortable for everyday use such as work etc?

Just like the subject above how many of you find stockings and hold ups comfortable for work and everyday outfits? What are the advantages over the normal pantyhose or tights?

What kind of work?

Hold-ups - depends on the quality. If they're good, they'll stay in place and not keep sliding and in need of constant readjustment.

I personally would find a suspender belt too uncomfortable for everyday wear. For me, that's definitely for a saucy night

God no. Any woman who has eaten in the last 20yrs and is over the age of 30 will have inner thighs and that is guaranteed to roll those things into fecking ropes, catching your dress or skirt and almost limiting walking. I absolutely hate them. Suspenders belt and stockings are slightly more reliable but ruin the line of clothing. But all four clips to the stockings NEVER work. Only ever three. And taking a wee and negotiating your knickers over those clips and lumps and OMG!!!! Just no. And they are always bloody LACY. That shit itches!!!

I wore some holdups to my first coffee meet in an attempt to be sexy Them feckers rolled to my knees walking to meet him and when I got up to go to the bathroom they slid down my leg, over my boot and I went on my snot. It was not a good look.

Wearing them in bed with a lover is different. I find the Ann Summers ones stay up the longest. Once I’m not walking around those dudes stay in place.

I used to work as an air hostess a long time ago. My choice back in those days was pantyhose (unfortunately I wasn't as free thinking as I am now - otherwise I may have been more daring with hold-ups).

So pantyhose definitely for comfort.

In my line of work now, I dress in sports wear or leggings. Definitely no pantyhose or otherwise needed or wanted.

I personally don't find pantyhose look sexy but it's comfortable, whereas hold-ups can be comfortable if you have a good quality pair and I definitely find them sexy.

Suspenders for me just for evening wear or a time I particularly want to "dress to impress" for a sexy meet.

These are just my opinion.

With you there, tights are the most practical, but good quality hold-ups will stay up all day no problem. Suspenders and stockings are a faff to get on, not particularly comfortable, and make weird lumps and bumps under close-fitting clothing, they are for "sexy" purposes, not practical.

Thanks so much everyone! Great to know the reality and practicality of these things lol I was thinks stockings and suspenders would be troublesome, hold ups are the better option even though tights are practical I just dont find them sexy enough or appealing to me just my opinion lol

My holdups I wear for work are from Penny's they are thick black ones with three transparent bands at the top. They are bomb proof they don't roll down even on my thick thighs. They can be worn alone or with suspenders. Having the three bands along the top helps get those fiddly clasps on. I've tried expensive ones but for work I keep coming back to these. They stay put even when I'm bent over filing

The ones you have in your profile pic OP are the best. They're the Penneys ones Rosy is on about. I only wish they did an XL, cos with my extra thick thighs, they do roll down after an hour of walking as I learned last month

If just in the bedroom and just sitting at the desk, they're absolutely perfect.

I wear stockings and suspenders every day under my boy clothes for work, feels very naughty to start with as the suspender straps tighten over your bum as you bend over, sometimes the suspender bumps or panty lines show but most of the world arent looking for them.

If im on a night out to the pub I might wear hold ups under jeans, or sometimes be brave and stick with stockings and suspenders.

Normally sheer stockings but sometimes switch to fishnets on the hot summer days x
