So I'm amazed at the amount of guys who after a while chatting about the possibility of meeting and than the age old comment " I don't like condoms" , can I cum inside you etc

I know when I was in my 20s I wouldn't even think of having sex without using a condom for the fear of getting pregnant (27 yrs ago) don't remember sexual health been a big concern than.

Now don't get me wrong there have been occasions where a condom wasn't used and the panic between getting the morning after pill and and an sti test done, I actually dont think one guy even asked after if I needed to take precaution etc.

I would have thought on a swingers site that people would be more vigilant about protecting themselves.

A particular problem is that many STD’s don’t have too many symptoms coupled with the case that few people ever get checked out.

HPV (human papilloma virus) is endemic in the older swinger community (young women are now protected through vaccination)

We get a check annually which is why we know (despite mostly safe sex) that we’ve fallen victim to a whole range of STD’s over the years.

It wouldn’t even enter my head to ask for sex with no condom. I always keep some in my wallet in case I get lucky. Likewise I’m not a fan of using them but it’s a small compromise.

I have attended the Gum clinic in sligo and the staff in there are lovely, when I mention the clinic to people it's amazing how many go oh god I wouldn't go there, I'd hate to be seen.

I've seen several people on here who have asked for profile advice and get absolutely slated because they had it on their profile it is their preference. And they end up taking it off their profile then .But surely it's better on there because then it is not an issue later on.

It's like everything else on here it's a choice and if it's not what you're into then that's fine but I don't understand the whole looking down on others because of what they choose to do. There's plenty of things I see on here that I've no interest in doing but it doesn't mean it makes me better than anyone who does them. It's just means we're on different paths.

i strongly disagree with this. Nor do i think im better than them. Do i think im more aware of the pitfalls of not suiting up brings? Yes definitely. I don't get it. I dont understand it.

Nor do i understand a lot of fetishes, i.e feet worship. But wearing a condom and having multiple sexual partners is just common sense. Why bloody risk it

Because they obviously think it is worth the risk. Like I said it is their choice just like it's everyone else's choice to decide if they want to meet them or not. You don't need to understand it,you can just avoid meeting the ones who do it,as long as you know that's how they prefer to have sex.

I'm sure most people on here bare back or using protection would be aware of the risks of having numerous partners and well you would think and hope that most get tested regularly .But then that may not be happening either because one thing I have learned in my time on here is common sense sometimes is not that common.

We ve had a few single guys turn up with no protection,we always come prepared for such events. Turned out on more than one occasion ,they lost the hardon once we made it clear we wherent willing to have bareback sex no matter how clean they protested they where!

Just out of curiosity, would you be inclined to ask for proof of clear STI screening? If so, what proof would suffice? The text message you get from your GP/screening clinic, which gives absolutely no clue as to what you were tested for, or would you expect your potential bareback partner to have a letter with the list of tests and results?

Or do you take their word for it?

To answer the question on the topic, I'm very much pro-choice. I think JustBo explained it very well. I personally want to protect my sexual health, so I'll come prepared with a condom and it will be used for penetrative sex. I still get tested regularly too.

But if others are happy to take the risk of having unprotected sex with strangers, who am I to judge? Let them at it...

Just to be clear STI test are not that reliable either unless it was done within the last 24 hours at max.

There are also many thing you should not do for perfect Sex health, but I would get death threats if I was mentioning them...
