Good or Bad or something completely unexpected how did your Christmas compare to what you thought it would be like.

I had my best one in years because I got out for a walk every day...did my head the world of good and totally unexpected

It started off good, then took a bit of a dip in the middle and then nosed dived towards the end.

It passed me by as though it wasn't even Christmas or the new year if I'm honest this year.I am not annoyed or sad that it did but it was just a non event for me this year than any other year I can remember in the past.

I don't do Christmas for a number of personal reasons. I hate it and only look forward to the time off.

I have been ill(not covid) for the last 3 weeks and much worse over Christmas. I didn't lift my head off the sofa for 3 days and didn't get to do any of the group hikes.

I should have been back at work on Wednesday but just about got in on Friday.

One more reason not to like Christmas.

The Christmas break was actually pretty fun. We did alot considering, night out, hiking, meals out, nights in snuggled up few drinks/movies, cinema trip and a kinky night away at vanilla NYE doing all sorts. We expected to test positive at some point but we didn't. It was different but had lots of festive fun.

It’s driven me to watch rom-coms on Netflix. The hidden symptoms of covid.

Christmas was ok, not really a fan, prefer the pagan side of it. Covid kicked me in the balls so I had a lot of time to myself. Isolated and recovered, back to work and a busy January to deal with.

Was a lot better than I expected.

First Christmas single again & I expected to feel a little haunted but there was not even a glimmer of Jacob Marley

I worked a lot over Christmas, went on lots of walks, spent time with family & was happily merry

It was as expected... holidays loom, everybody gets sick with something or other.

But I didn't have to cook Christmas dinner so that was as expected and after that, we just made the most of it...with plenty of unhealthy food

I genuinely had to struggle badly to find the Christmas spirit after a revelation a few days before Xmas threatened to break me completely.

Thankfully I remembered the strong ass woman I am and had a lovely few days surrounded by those who love me. Couldn’t have came at a better time so for that I’m very thankful xxx

Newry Down

After six months of hard relentless endeavour since early June I was delighted to get a break, rest and relax, and prepare for 2022.

But Covid again put a dark shadow over the festive season, though not as bad as the end of 2020, with talk of another lockdown.

It actually feels like Christmas today with snow visible on the Mournes and travel warnings on TV.

At least my plants might get their required winter chilling, for new growth.
