If you made arrangements to meet someone (I haven’t) would you ask them to take an antigen test before hand?

How would you react if you were asked?

I wouldn't ask anyone to do it, same way I wouldn't ask their vaccine status. None of my business.

I'm vaccinated and would do an antigen before a meet. Its personal responsibility.

If someone asked me, I'd happily do it and send them the result

I’m not sure I’d ask anyone to do one but I would do one myself. I would be grateful if the person I was meeting chose to do one.

no I wouldn't. all this testing will eventually stop. it's ludicrous. you get up in the morning, u have a meet planned, you feel fine, go and enjoy your meet.

I'm unvaccinated and if I was to meet someone and they asked me to do an antigen test before meeting them I don't think I'd mind at all.

I'd react fine if asked. Be happy tondo it. I've been doing them regularly especially when meeting friends/family.

On a similar note some family members I was with over the past couple days have returned positive antigens and are awaiting PCRs to confirm it. I've been restriciting movements as I'm fairly sure I'll be next.

I had a Fab meetup arranged yesterday but once I found out, I messaged to explain. I was surprised at the reaction - they weren't overly happy about the cancellation. I mean, surely it's a reasonable enough excuse not to want to potentially expose someone?! Or have I gone nuts

I have seen people with similar reactions over Xmas when they're told they're close contacts. some people don't want to know.

That would be a red flag for me. If they’re happy to meet a potential close contact, their sense of personal responsibility must be fairly low.

Wouldn't ask someone to do one but if was asked I'd do one. Than again chances of me getting it are highly unlikely as I have literally seen noone but my family over xmas and been nowhere.

the mentality of alot now is move on with a free life because others are vaxed and boostered. I have seen people be pissed off at been told they're close contacts.

sure doing an antigen before a meet, u could show anyone a fake antigen/negative result. it might not necessarily be yours.

I wouldn't think to ask someone but I'd do a test if I was asked.

I test once a week anyway & I would hope that I am still a good judge of character & no one would be willingly putting me at risk. At the same time, my health is my responsibility.

Do people ask as easily about STI tests?

course they don't but the covid thing will blow out also once it's not covered in the media as much. people's heads are fucked and alot have covid on the brain permanently.

Can't understand why anyone would have a bad reaction to someone wanting to keep themselves and family members safe.if asked I'd take one happily.Only meeting one person off here anyway..

Think everyone will be doing antigens at least once a week with cases as they are .

No ones deliberately going to be meeting with symptoms..xxx

We would rather ask when the last STI test was as being bothered about C19. Someone who is sick with C19 will be either not in the mood or feel very inconvenient to leave the house at all

Yup exactly, I'm more concerened with someones STI results, how often they get tested & if they even get tested.

I have unvaccinated friends that I am close with, so meeting someone from fab is no different. I'll do a test if anyone asks me to.

I am cautious when I need to be for myself & my family & that gives me a healthy balance.

Wouldn't bother us if asked. We would expect it tbh. If they or we had covid we wouldn't want to be spreading it to our families and beyond.

I'd have no problem doing one because I'd be doing one anyway. The same way I do one before going to see friends and family. I also test twice a week regardless of where I'm going or who I'm seeing.

Tipperary

back In Dublin after spending Xmas at home,

North was pretty normal, most restaurants and pubs open with people out and about enjoying themselves.

in Dublin , everyone triple jabbed, with no symptoms, doing antigens everyday, 2 see if they can go out.

politician on twitter.

sums it up.
