"I always think that making resolutions in the New Year is a futile task, January is the worst month to make changes in your life...it's dark, depressing out and basically one big hangover from Christmas IMO it's much easier to stick to resolutions in the Spring time... whenever you believe that begins - Feb 1st or the clocks going forward - either way it's a more optimistic time of year to make life changes So should we have Spring resolutions instead of New Year's?" Summer bodies are made in winter!!

"Etymologically, the term resolution looks similar to the work revolution which imputes a drastic change (of heart). Revolutions are almost invariably unsuccessful because too much change is desired too rapidly. Similarly, annual resolutions. I prefer an incremental Darwinian evolutionary approach where change takes place over a long period of time, almost imperceptibly slowly, and is more likely to bear fruit, in the long term. An annual change (of heart) is too drastic, biannual change is slightly better, but a biennial plan of action is likely to be the most enduring, potentially perenially. In my personal opinion! " Biennial resolutions is an interesting idea alright - but do you agree they should start in Spring instead of January?
