Belfast

Maybe they've not updated their profile or they just happen to genuinely have visitors.

If its a regular occurrence & a deal breaker for you then ask when you start chatting to someone to confirm if they actually can accommodate

Somewhere in Co. Down

Maybe they just don't want go accommodate someone they haven't actually met either but will accommodate when they get to know them better.

People's situation can change and they could forget to update...

I definitely wouldn’t be accommodating anyone until I met them first for coffee or something.

Some ladies interpret an inability to accommodate on a profile as a red flag that this purported single is actially playing away from home.

Frankly, permitting people to know where you live is unwise, or 'hastily' inviting them to your home is imprudent; without revealing too many details I am acutely aware of an example where an invitee used the opportunity to 'case the joint', identify what was worth stealing, where it was located, weak points in the security, and when the occupants would not be at home.

That person later returned to break in, and make off with a valuable haul!
