Sorry mate, this isn't the primary school sports day where you get a medal just for standing facing the right way on the starting line. In any field of society where one group wants something from another group and the ratio of numbers in each group are different, then those differences dictate the level of competition to get the 'commodity' in question. So I'm afraid just being a nice guy isn't going to make you stand out and be chosen ahead of all the other nice guys. That's where the touch of 'special' comes into play. I was married for 15 years and am separated for the last 7. I was lonely when I was married and am lonely now too, but in a different way. It's difficult being a single person but relationships are tough too, no matter what your gender.

There's no doubt that, being a single man in a deep, deep sea of single men, it's difficult to "stand out" but there are people out there that will appreciate you being good and kind.

Or are all women looking for men to be wankers/bastards? I don't think so, especially considering the amount of women on here who say that rude messagers will be blocked (and rightly so).
