I don’t think my OH would know what to do if he suddenly had to buy all his own gifts. I’ve even bought most of my own.

I’ve also bought all our gifts for his parents and my Mam to give us. Although my Mam isn’t well so that doesn’t count.

Meath / Dublin / Birmingham

I've a few bits to pick up in person but I know exactly what I'm getting. Unfortunately one now involves an unexpected trip up north today or tomorrow.

I got most of the main family stuff online. I bought no physical stuff, it's all experiences - sports/gig tickets, hotel breaks, family days out etc so basically a bunch of printed off sheets on my desk here... less clutter

on the hill NordWest of

Shoving myself with the crowds through shopping centres would be my worst nightmare, always was. So I've mine done, only one left to do, small shop no probs.

I find online shopping more and more frustrating: feckin Amazon is so overpowering the market and since Brexit it's another pain to find what you want avoiding uk sites.

Dunboyne

All done. Bike assembled and hidden, few printouts to do and the others are in fridge/garage chilling.

Making things for folks to enjoy is definitely better, from a slightly selfish point.

If they don't invite you round when they're using it, it's only served 50% of it's purpose.

As a Westie friend of mine says, never give anyone something that you have no chance of getting some enjoyment out of yourself.

Initially I thought You Selfish Bastard! But now I have come to understand the meaning of it.

Give them something that they can use, which improves their skills or ingredient cupboard so they can be more creative and you yourself will likely share in their new found experience
