A place visited, and would happily visit again

Cork

A place you have visited, what you enjoyed most and reasons you would return?

Mine is Alaska, kayaking unexpectedly alongside a pod of orcas (for like 30 seconds)

Would love to go again, maybe more North into the _ilderness .

Maybe not mid winter tho..

London, lived there for years and it has a great buzz. Lots to do and see and the neighbours don't give two hoots what you had for dinner

The fridge, would give it 5 stars on trip advisor but its nowhere to be found. Frequent visits keep me going through the pandemic.

A close second is Croatia I suppose

It is incredible - especially as you can only enter through a mile long narrow canyon and then you catch a glimpse of the huge Monastery ahead ... when it opens out, you emerge into this huge site of temples carved into sandstone.

Newry Down

The Aran Islands; it was exactly 50 years ago this year that I first visited Aranmor.

I would love to retire there, but gardening is a passion and the soil is so thin that water simple runs through it into the limestone.

PLAY, the Icelandic low-cost carrier, will launch direct flights between Dublin and Reykjavik from the end of April 2022, fairly reasonably priced I think, should make it even more accessible……

Agreed. Fabulous places, especially Whitsundays

Thailand on way home was just amazing too and for very different reasons, New Orleans has food and music combo you won't get anywhere else.

Lastly, yes Amalfi coast is beautiful and, if you know what you are doing, not expensive at all

Tbh I found the flight the cheapest part of the trip..

Fuel, van rental and food&beer was even more so. Lived out of Bonus..ha.

I did enjoy the Icelandic ale tbf

But will keep an eye on the flights for next year. Cheers
