Pre blocking

Have you ever been browsing profiles of people who fit your search criteria and come across profiles that make pre block them? By that I mean, make no contact with them, just look at the profile, find something about it not to your liking and block them to prevent any contact.

I'm not proud to say I have done this. I usually round on anyone who makes assumptions about others like that, but I just couldn't see anything to be gained from talking to those I blocked.

Nah, sure nobody really contacts me anyway! I've only got 2 people on my block list... it's a bit of an achievement getting on mine, you need to be a top tier dickhead/weirdo/both

No.

But I know what you mean, kind of like a similar post about what annoys you about peoples profiles.

Sydney disclaimers, etc, jump through hoops, write your Sort Code in the subject line etc.

I don't think I've ever seen a profile bio that's made me block someone on its own.

Not generally something I do. That's where notes come in handy

Well, sort of but maybe for different reasons than that. I too need a lot to block someone.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I've rarely blocked anyone because of their profile . I'm more likely to block because I'd constant complaining updates or something like that. But I can't remember blocking anyone just because their profile didn't appeal. Like mentioned above I would probably use a note rather than block.

All the time. Could be something they have on their profile or something they have said in the forum. We also use who’s near to pre-block people in our immediate area for the sake of discretion.

Yup. Usually spot them on the updates with crappy abusive status updates or pictures and block them to avoid having to see it again

I have a tolerance to bu11sh1t so I've only one person on my blocked list.

But as previously mentioned it's down to individual preferences.

I probably wouldn't block someone bc of their profile but I'd make a private note incase I had a mental moment in the future & removed my filters.

Yeah, generally tend to add Notes to their profile rather than block.

I have blocked one or two for seeing disgusting/degrading videos on profile but I usually report those also.

Sure... its usually because they reveal that they are cheating on their partner or maybe being xenophobic or something. A block is an extra filter.

I went back on what I said & blocked someone bc of their profile.

They deliberately set their age to get past age preferences but state that in their profile.

I couldn't have someone that stupid msg me in case I ever take off the filters, so blocked them

My town

I block people if its needed, something personally said

Or nasty comments. Wouldn't go blacking if didn't like a profile might not be my choice of profile but don't deserve the block

I do block some boring and profile even when they made contact.

I had blocked someone because of a comment he made on a thread and we ended getting chatting through a group and ended up unblocking him, don't always judge a book by its cover

The only time I (mrs) pre-blocked was when I used to scroll through the local updates. One day I got so pi**ed off with all the close-up cock pics I blocked all those profiles. Now I generally skip past them as that's all you see and my time can be better spent

The majority on my block list are those I've never spoken to.

They're there because of inane and insane status updates and I prefer a tidy and relevant update page.

Some are also there because of their repetitive forum stupidity.
