Are you going to take a bit of time off , step back , log on a bit less , even leave ?

Or is the 1st if January an irrelevant date , you’re quite happy with things as they are fab wise and you plan to just carry on as per now ?

The escalating prospect of another lockdown on both sides of the border and on each side of the Irish Sea is an enduring impediment to the ambitions I had for the next year.

Covid-19 and its emerging variants, the latest being Omicron of course, has been a nightmare; I am now triple vaccinated, and intend to get each jab as new variants inevitably emerge and vaccine countermeasures are rolled out by the authorities in the various jurisdictions.

By next summer, I would hope to implement the plans for meets and socials that are now two years behind schedule.

Like many others, two years ago I had a severe dose of flu-like symptoms, before it was named Covid-19, and thereafter suffered extreme fatigue, headaches, and back pain.

I am convinced I had pneumonia in 2020, but I soldiered on and stayed isolated.

That isolation is hopefully close to an end; the prospect of meeting like minded people, face to face is exciting.

Now I need to get access to a high quality camera and upload some decent pics; a silhouette profile is totally inadequate.

For a variety of reasons, we couldn't muster up the enthusiasm to meet anyone in 2021, I suspect 2022 will be the same until we eventually can't even be bothered with the forums.

I've been injured since early November and now recovering after surgery so I've a lot of catching up to do.

All that said Covid restrictions will be a big decider in what happens.

Im going to continue to do as im doing. This year has definitely been one of my most enjoyable years on fab. Although i didnt meet many guys, i have met some of the most gorgeous and nicest guys ive ever met here. Lets hope that continues
