Looking for advice please

Im on android....I'm looking to buy a smart watch for myself as a present

Any recommendations

Are they rechargeable

Do they take batteries

Haven't a clue about them have always just worn a standard watch

I've used fitbit and huawei. The fitbit wasn't the best because the software wasn't compatible with my huawei but I use the latest honour band currently. 10 days charge, tracks what I need it to and handy in work on busy days if emergencies happen that the notifications work. Check out reviews and find a watch that suits you and will work well with the phone you have. I'm switching models soon and for myself probably end up with a garmin forerunner 55 from the reviews I've received from others

Remember to put it forward /back when the clocks change.

don't leave it behind you in the changing rooms.

if you bought it off a guy on the street in benidorm it's not a real Rolex

and finally

if it disappears when your fingering a girl then you're not actually her first time and she does actually do that kind of thing...

Fitbit charge 5, has alot of the premium features for a lot less of the price, it's great!

Look at the amazefit range.. Battery life of up to 3 weeks and all the fitness stuff and messages available on your wrist.

They do a rugged version also.

Really depends in what you want the watch to do

What do you need it for? How much do you want to spend?

Value for money and good features I vote Huawei. The battery life is top notch.

If you have money to spend and are looking for fitness features I'd say Garmin.

I've had several fitbits and honestly I've always had issues with them. Wouldn't buy another one.

Definitely decide what you need it for. I have a fitbit charge 4 but don't have any notifications set up, track my sleep and steps which are both crap lol

I've a suunto traverse,I use it hunting, mountain biking and it's my every day watch. Ive worn it paddle boarding, canoeing and fishing as well and it's never let me down. I might upgrade to a suunto 9 baro soon. Build quality is excellent, GPS is up there with Garmin, and they are very tough wearing and reliable. My watch is basic enough, it was mainly bought because of the GPS and its toughness. The Suunto 9 is an amazing watch with all the bells and whistles though. Either that or a Garmin Fenix would be my choice, all depends what you want it for.

I've a Garmin. Can't fault it. Charge it once a week and you can put a ton of apps on it.

I need a watch for work...one I can read in dark lighting without putting on glasses

Be nice to have a step counter

Someone working with me the last 2 nights has

40,000 steps on the little strap thing they have on their wrist....I would have more than her anyway if its accurate

My daughter has an I-watch ....don't need an all singing ..all dancing one like that

My experience with smart watches.

I use one of the Garmin forerunners. I can’t fault it either. Very good battery. I run 2/3/4 times a week. Again, charge it maybe once a week or so. I have it a few years now, and all I needed to change on it was the strap at one stage. Very good for fitness and stuff. Very good and accurate GPS. Has the step counter to which I think is more accurate than some others.

Garmin I think is more a fitness watch first, with limited smart watch capability added. Some others are very good smart watches, but the fitness side of things can be limited.

Got herself a Fitbit last year. Not as good as the Garmin in my opinion. GPS and stuff wasn’t as good. Nice looking watch all the same.

I toyed with the idea of an Apple Watch a while back, but I don’t think they are as good for fitness. Amazing smart watch though. I don’t really like the idea of having to charge it every night. That’d be a pain. I decided to hold off for the minute as my Garmin Forerunner is still working perfectly.

When I change now, I’ll probably go for another Newer Garmin model I reckon.

I didn't realise you could use them for spotify which could be handy if I ever got the nerve to leave the phone out of my pocket

Got a garmin vivactive 4 last year and I love it. Very versatile and you’re not locked into one operating system or another. Garmin connect app is great - I’m very happy with it. Was using another app as well but mostly just use connect now.

One Plus watch! Buy online, u only have to charge it one a week. All fitness, email, message tracking. Also answer calls with it.. around €150 well worth it.

What do you want it for?

I got the Huawei Band 4. It was only €50 and had aot of the functionality of other smart watches.

I don't really use it anymore though. I initially used it to measure the calories burned during workouts but once I'd measured them a few times I no longer needed the watch.

Huawei GT watches are excellent, messages, fitness, alarm, totally waterproof, the newest one is pretty pricy but the GT2 is very reasonable,interchangeable faces are good too
