Right. For all you music buffs out there. Name your favourite Guitar players. I don’t really have an out and out favourite so here are my choices.

Mark Knopfler

Eric Clapton

Eddie Van Halen

Gary Moore

Glen Frey.

I could go on but I won’t. Interesting to hear everyone’s reply.

Some great suggestions. It’s impossible to say who is my favourite cos I could say slash for example but then think oh no. What about Brian May or BB King, the Edge or Carlos Santana?? The list is endless

Seriously? Hendrix was a hippee pretty much. May never crossed his politics with his music so it doesn't matter.

But as a guitarist he is fantastic. I can’t stomach Eric Clapton and all his anti vax nonsense but I still wouldn’t mix that with his genius when he picks up that Fender Stratocaster

"Slash

Prince"

Great top 2. Prince never get’s enough appreciation for his guitar playing skills, I saw him live once and he blew me away.

Everyone should hear prince play While my guitar gently weeps with Tom Petty & others (search YouTube).

This is probably my favorite guitar solo ever.

Im going to have a listen now.

It did, he must have thrown into crowd. Did you see how comfortable prince was with the guitar, he really enjoyed it.

If I’m not mistaken Clapton was once asked how does it feel to be best guitarist in the world, he replied, I don’t know, ask prince!

"All of the above, except for brian may, I just don't like him or his tree hugging politics"

Brian May doesn't have a particularly strong stance on environmental issues, beyond what is just plain sensible.

What he does do is champion animal rights. So you don't like him because of this?

One to avoid.

NaughtyVille *×* Laois

So many great guitar players already mentioned.

Great guitarists which people mention are rarely the most technically gifted players.

If you enjoy listening to great guitar playing, check out Naudo Rodriguez on YouTube, I think he's cool out!

Great YouTube clips of Edge talking about the bank of guitars he plays on tour. Crazy stuff

But I really like guy's such as Dan Auberbach and Jack White because I enjoy spending my spare time playing (mostly poorly lol) their material.
