Unknown ya dog you'll be drowned in DMs from women after a gentle soul

Seriously though I was going through a tough time last year. Christmas and seeing all the joy really exasperates your own joyless void. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

As I said not about the naughtiness, I think a lot of people are going through that every year and yeah you hit the nail on the head with your comment , but the way iv used that in my own experience is to remember you always do have someone to talk to, and if you can help someone else even in the slightest way it makes being here worth while

Good post OP but it'll be hard for people to put their problems in print...so,I'll go first...just broke up with my partner of 9 years so I can relate to this...we're still friends and going out for Christmas lunch together but it'll be difficult. If anyone wants to get something off their chest then maybe they can PM me or one of you other kind fabbers can make a similar offer. Just a thought.

Ah sorry to heat that mate, but it's good it wasn't a bad break and who knows it might only be for a small period

What a super post…maybe for the time it’s going we could unblock our filters so people can DM us if they need help…tough time for so many.

Well done OP

I know you didn't ask for advice but if that happened to me, I'd make sure I was out of the house for the day. Why not volunteer with a homeless charity or something similar for the day? I'm sure they'd be delighted to have you. Good luck

It's never as bad as you think it will be on your own.

It passes fast enough if you keep yourself busy. Plan a bit of dinner and at least you know there won't be any fights over the TV remote.

Lots of stuff on in the community from sea swims to walks or runs.

It's like a Sunday and you do lots of them through the year so try not to over think it and it will pass.

I have done several on my own. Have done the charity feeding the poor which is hard work and with covid even more difficult.

Ignore the hype of the day and take it one day at a time and don't be afraid to drop friends a message.

And my inbox is open if you want a chat.
