Hey everyone,

I just wanted to get your thoughts on nye celebrations?

Now not only is it my birthday which i have always loved but there is a lot of people that just can't be bothered with it at all and that's not taking into account the restrictions over the last two years but I've always felt that it was always a fantastic night to celebrate with friends and family. It's going to be pretty crap this year as the pubs will be closing at midnight so happy new year and drink up now please

Was never keen on NYE to be honest as I never enjoyed the crowded pubs and stuff but definitely loved spending it with family etc. Not sure what I’ll be doing this year to be honest. Play it by ear.

I worked new years Eve for years and always found it very stressful, This last 5 years I have found that unless you are at a house party, pubs have been very Quiet come midnight.

I really don't like New Year's Eve. The last time I went to a NYE party (well over a decade ago) it exploded into drug and alcohol-fuelled violence shortly after midnight.

I wasn't in involved in the brawl but some friends of mine were. After that I vowed 'never again'...and I haven't

Really can't wait to get Christmas and New Year out of the way. Can't stand this time of year, loads of reasons why I don't like them.

I also feel so sorry for homeless especially at this time of the year.

I can't even imagine what it's like to have no house to go to, even if it's an empty house it's still dry and warm.

So I always just wish these months pass quickly.

on the hill NordWest of

I've a friend, she organises a nye party at hers every year with always the same people (except last year obviously). It was rather difficult to get off that guest list without causing offence but I did it. It's good to be home for New Year's eve, believe me...
