Yes, I'm afraid it's that time, he made his first appearance last night and I'm tempted to put the little s#1t into isolation. The amount of nights I woke with a pounding heart at 4am realising I forgot to move him

Please share any ideas for his placements about the house

I saw a brilliant one the other day. Grogu, the baby Yoda in the mandalorian show with a santa hat on and the elfs legs hanging our of his mouth as if he just swallowed him.

If you've not seen the show you might not get it.

South County Dublin

Plastered against the inside of the washing machine.

Leaking over the top of the dishwasher.

Taking a toy hostage. Use aluminium foil to gag and string to bind.

Having a battle with toy soldiers, dinosaurs or barbies.

Getting into the sweet tin and leaving a trail through the house.

Hiding in the Christmas tree.

Wearing socks or knickers in the sock/knicker drawer.

Cuddling with the teddy collection.

Hanging on to a doorknob to try and flee the house.

I have 2 elves to get into mischief

Another whatsapp I got was the elf viewed from behind. He was watching porn on a big TV and doing what guys do with porn lol. All of a sudden this white goo just explodes all over him and he falls forward out of view.

Next time you go to light the fire make a little stake sticking up out the top of it and tie him to it like a witch.

We only started it last year. The little one loved trying to find him every morning to be fair.

My favourite was when we enclosed his torso in a block of ice in the freezer with arms, legs and head poking out. Took the kids ages to find him

We used to have great craic finding mischievous deeds for the elf to get up to!! The kids loved my reaction to coming downstairs every morning and seeing the state of the place!! The two they enjoyed most were when the elf got 2 toilet rolls and unravelled them around everything in the sitting room,lights,TV,couches,lamps... everything! Took ages but looked like a bomb went offf!!! The other was when we put the elf and all the little Santa's,snowmen, elves and reindeer ornaments on the coffee table, surrounded them with peanuts and crisps and dips and put a load of the miniature spirit bottles (empty of course) in the middle of them! Looked like they had a great party!! I actually miss the little shit!!!

Note to self: buy plenty of toilet paper, there may be a shortage coming after this post

Ok agreed it probably would but it worked for me last year because the last thing I needed to be remembering to do is the elf getting up to mischief when you are in the process of moving house,we finally got in on the 18th of December

I've heard that due to covid, Santa only allows the elves here for part of the week, they have to go back to north pole for the rest of the week to help out making the toys, as some have tested positive and need to isolate.
