It's a 55inch LG I'd have to find the original remote to access the model no. I think.

(We use sky remote 100%)

What’s the difference between loading these apps by yourself and paying some guy for a subscription? Are they just taking the piss by charging an annual subscription for installing an app, or does the subscription go towards some content provider?

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

You can install the IPTV client application yourself on a firestick for example. And you can then look for an IPTV subscription for the year that can cost 60e on average. When you pay the subscription, you get a URL (Link) or URLs that you then add to the IPTV client. This basically 'connects' your firestick to the IPTV service (server) and you access all the channel content. You can do all this yourself......or pay someone to setup for you.

But you will always have to pay for the IPTV subscription.

Yeah, I do it all myself manually. The Tivimate app is brilliant and only cost about a fiver. I pay about €14/month for my subscription but it's extremely rare anything would go wrong with it, and there's also a Telegram group for questions and support.

If it's got a HDMI connection you can buy an Android box and load apps onto that. The Xiaomi mi-box is the cheapest I've seen (and the one I have).

Just get a dodgy box, it's a fire stick and they re program it , have everything, pay per view events, you do need good WiFi and it works perfectly 150 quid ... if you know the right people obviously.

The days of paying for sky and other stations is long over...
