No, then block?

What’s everyone’s policy on blocking?

Is it the norm to block someone after you’ve either said no to someone or someone’s has said no to you?

I’m trying not to block people as quickly but if someone has had 3 “Thanks but no Thanks” and then messages again within days, what gives!!!

What’s your policy and why?

Haven't had to block so no policy at all. Dont think its a big issue for most single blokes.

I'd imagine if you keep getting a text from the same person over and over they should expect to be blocked.

Block instantly if someone is treating our inbox as dial a ride or have gross drain my balls/ everyone is a fat stuck up cunt status updates - those people never change their attitude and we don't want to associate ourselves with them in any way.

It also works as a great filter when it comes to sending invitations to our events

If I am chatting to someone for a while and then suggest coffee and there is no interest I block . Saves future hassle . Obviously if it’s a friendship developing or some common interests then perhaps not but if my quest was about meeting and things are not developing that way I block . Also if I perceive hostility or outrageous opinion I block also . I don’t think of it as an aggressive act at all . Lots of people on here and like everywhere in life you won’t get in with everyone . I am more than happy for people to reciprocate the above

The moment someone is rude and treats me like dirt I block. Constant messages about come to my place I'm in your area or are you up for it. I'm not Dial a ride and neither is any other woman here. So have respect or F off. Though it does make the decent guys look more favourable to us ladies.

Hahaha!!! Fantastic. Yeah I went through a phase of blocking everyone, so I tried to dial it back. But OMG. Take the hint.

That is so true - once the undesirables are safe in the block space - it is so much easier for the good ones to stand out and be seen!

I can understand why people choose to block someone but if it’s only after one message then it’s a bit crappy. If someone says no thanks to me then that’s it. I normally reply back and say “thanks for replying back and best of luck” but i do feel a bit disillusioned if blocked after 1 message

We use block like a filter, so anyone we know we aren't going to meet or be friends with we block. It doesn't mean more than that, as they just not meet our preferences. It's useful for folk who reveal stuff about themselves here in the forums or in messages that mean we know won't suit us. It's handy because it saves having to remember profile names.

I’m not afraid to show my naivety so I just have to ask, what is FR (them)?

I block when someone has sent several repeat messages after me not replying to any of them. However, if I think it’s annoying them that I’m not replying, I won’t block them just for amusement purposes

I also block people looking for drugs on their status, forum dipshits and anti-vaxxers.

I try to remember to note on their profile why I’ve blocked them but often the note just says annoying dipshit

Constantly message after no reply is a block. Sending messages after being told no is a block (as someone just learned today) abuse or ignorance in mails is a block. If their updates annoy us it's a block. If their pics make us want to it's a block.

And yes our blocklist is large.

Blocking is a great way to keep a tidy and relevant update screen.

My block list is a even mix of people with inane statuses, ignorant and belligerent forumites and drama queens with a few prolific trolls thrown in for good measure.

Go into your filters and set it to not looking for single guys , then you won't have guys messaging you to suck your cock.

I have recently worked out the filters and thankfully I’ve done what you said. My only problem is that now and again I get the odd request from “a couple” where the man will ask to meet me first to sample the goods before a potential meet with the mrs involved.

Unfortunately not everyone can take no for an answer. As I said earlier if I get an answer back that is no then I will answer back “thanks for messaging back and best of luck”. In my case I have found that people just block without answering but I’ve learned not to take it personally now and I just move on.
