One of the worst experiences of my life.

The girl lied about her experience, had no connection with the child. Sat on her phone/watching TV while my 1 year old played on otherwise of room.

Weekly chats/reviews did no use. She was gone in a month.

My advice would be to have several video calls and go for one with previous au pair experience. "Summer camps" and "minding family's children" is nonsense.
