Men or women I don't discriminate

Whats the beard trimmer of choice? Been using a remington spa one for a good while now but it can be a wee bit techy with different lengths sometimes so may need to upgrade.

Anyone swear by the one they use?

Hi use the Philips one blade, does a great job to get straight edges. And use a whal hair clipper for the bulky part

I'm still using a Wahl professional hair trimmer that I bought about 25 years ago for cutting my hair. It does the job on my bit of a beard as well. I'm sure the model in question is obsolete and isn't a beard trimmer as such but the make seems pretty much bulletproof.

Speaking as a beard admirer only, there's so many conditioning products on the market to keep your beard soft and sexy

Batter in my man! I just use shampoo when I shower tbh so not much use to you but I did notice in boots earlier they have a small beard section with beard oils and the likes.

Assume that's what they do but haven't used them myself so can't recommend anything specific

Wahl is great. Never had any issues with it. Regarding beard products I only use Mancave for everything top to toe. They have everything for hair, body and beard and it's vegan friendly and all their packaging is made from recycled materials.

And no I'm not on commission

I'm lazy I go to the barbers every two weeks for a tidy up n just keep the cheek lines tidy in between with a straight edge razor, use West cork beard company then for oils & balm & beard wash which doesn't seem to dry it out as much as normal shampoo

This was an educational thread to bring information to the needy & not a place for womenfolk to scout out beardy beauties.

Have some decorum please, what is this place becoming

Wouldn't recommend trimming your own beard. You just can't see under your chin and the sides of your face well enough

I would recommend a beard oil and balm if you are looking to soften your beard, the oil is for your skin the balm for your beard, rub the oil between your palms and then scrub into the tips of your fingers and scratch the oil onto the skin, you only want a little balm, like a pea sized amount, rub well into your hands and then rub into your beard, a little more if it's long, I use regular shampoo and sometimes a conditioner if it's way outta control lol, most important if your beard is long brush AND comb every day

Usually just the barber doing it for me, wouldn’t want to make a mess of it myself!

I use a Philips one blade for definition as it’s great for straight lines and close cut and a wahl beard trimmer to keep it neat and shorten it

Dont use head shampoo on your beard you can get shampoo for it as they are two different kinds of hair and never use head conditioner on it that damages it long term. mr.M
