In general how do you feel about your sexual knowledge and experience of yourself and others as you got to the stage in life you are now

Do you look back more fondly on your 20's or 30's or so on

I know you can't change the past and some people live the no regrets life but do you wish you could have been different or used the knowledge you have now back then

Regrets....Ive had a few

But then again to few to mention ...Frank Sinatra.

I don't have decades of sexual experience. Plenty of life experiences though which ruled out any chance of sexual experience.

80% of my sexual experience has been since turning 50.

My sexual experience is probably quite vanilla for here and since joining here I've done a few things I never thought I would, I have no regrets my life just took a detour and I'm here now to explore sex and all the fun it can bring

I think Ive mentioned my past on here a few times but it’s only in the last 5-10 years has my sexual journey started. Before that it was very few and far between.

Thankfully now I’m in control (for the most part) and there’s a big beautiful world out there to discover

Interesting topic… I started out in a number of very adventurous sexual relationships, older women, working and partying with a range of sexual orientations (prior to it being designated by letters…) threesomes and more… all before I was 20…

Then things settled into a stable relationship in a new country, but those adventures have always been there…. So while fondly recalled, I wouldn’t go back either.

Now I’m finding in my 5th decade of the journey on this rock, that my desires are as strong as they were then for some fun and free moments. Maybe not quite as wild, and the search is mostly in vain… but for sure, I feel this age I’m at and the next decades will open up for even better times than those of the past.

But for sexual knowledge…. Yikes, that self assessment is one that I’m sure I’d fail on many levels, but perhaps pass with magical flying colours and orgasms on others

Gorgeous day for a lunch by the river hopefully, and rather than maudlin, perhaps reflective.

I can’t believe how much I took for granted. They were on reflection lovely but I didn’t appreciate them

I know you can't change the past and some people live the no regrets life but do you wish you could have been different or used the knowledge you have now back then

Every decision I ever made was made with the available knowledge at that time . But if I could go back In time

1. I would not Create Such a wholesome public persona and be so laddish with my mates. It has made it impossible to discuss sex maturely with anyone in my vanilla life. Hence I rely on all things fab.

2. I would have made it clear at the beginning of my relationships that sex and its frequency is a red line for me . Discovering how much of my sanity depends on it has been a real shock to me in my 40s.

Regrets....Ive had a few

A low energy and mood state is actually adaptive . It means we are storing up energy so we can re emerge all beast like when we need it . Who wants to be fucking happy all the time anyway ? It’s soooo dull

Interesting question OP

To be brief I don’t think I’ve did enough, I’ve let a lot of opportunities pass by but again it’s balancing sexual adventures and not pursuing it to the extent where you leave emotional wreckage behind.

The last 18 months is a big reminder that we’re only here for a short while and time to get on with it, don’t die wondering

I dont believe in having regrets, yes there are things i would have done differently, opportunities passed up or missed becuase i didnt have the cahunas but thats part of growing up.

Sexually it has been and continues to be a lot of fun

Testing boundaries, living out fantasies....

I had a fairly normal sex life up to my late 40s. Once divorced ,I then started pushing my own boundaries. So for me it has to be the last 20 years.

I was a late starter and didn't lose my virginity until I was almost 20 .I had a few fun years dating and meeting a fwb until he moved away.Then my mid 20's and into my 30's I was in a serious long term relationship which ended and then after a few short term relationships and a few one night stands and too much very meh and bad sex I gave up on it for a long time.

Life took over and work and about 8 years had passed and a conversation with my best mate she told me about here as she was on here at the time .And I joined and I'm glad I did I got my mojo back and enjoying sex again

I do wish I hadn't wasted those years tho and the body I had then but there's plenty of time left to make up for .And if anything the last couple of years has shown don't take life for granted things can change in an instant and we should enjoy it while we can.

Married young, worked for our home, family, which are super. Sex life used to be great but last 4-5 years the spark is diminishing for me. I’ve basically accepted that, I wouldn’t have the stomach to have an affair so that’s it.

Sexually I know I’m very suppressed as I have had a few private experiences. I’m not complaining, I choose the family life and I’m happy, but far away bodies are always on my mind.

I have good memories of sex in my 20’s and 30’s but I’ve definitely had the best sex of my life as I got older, I’m not sure if I’d put it down to my experience or the company I’m with, but I’ve definitely received more compliments in the last 10 years than I did in the years previous.

A FB of mine contacted me a while back and managed to talk her way into my underpants again nearly 20 years later and the sex was undoubtedly much better.

I don't know about others...I can't speak for them.

I am now very aware of my needs and wants. It took a long time getting to where I am, including early negative sexual experiences.

I don't look back more fondly, and I know I missed out on things but I do look back at having learnt certain life lessons, not only where my relationship with my own sexuality is concerned but my relationship with myself and men in general.

I have regrets but without those regrets I wouldn't be who I am today. It is those regrets taught me about myself and my psychology - to be more aware of myself, to be more confident in myself and to be open, honest and communicative in my relationships. Unfortunately the men I have had a relationship with since I got separated were lacking exactly in those departments - open, honest communication.

I know there are things I wouldn't compromise on anymore within a relationship.

Would I do things differently if I knew then what I know now - hell, yes...but then I'd be an entirely different person now - and truth be told: I'm just a little loveable, charming bag of sex now, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts

Life is like any long journey; it goes through different phases and at varying paces.

Experience of a wide variety of people and sex is accumulated savoured and remembered.

The fundamental key is to have a positive attitude and be open to new sexual experiences.

I have been in all kinds of relationships from one night stands to long term cohabitations.

Relationships come and go, but thankfully my libido is intact.

Go with the flow, but pro actively make things happen. Fab is the next phase in my sexual journey through life.

I have two big regrets , both involved women ..both wrong decisions for the wrong reasons which would have absolutely changed the goalposts big time regards everything Sexual in my life , the price of doing so is having to live with it, and it's a heavy price...but life keeps moving and ya learn from it .
