For me Dante’s peak or Congo, I don’t know who’s acting is worse the talking gorilla or pierce brosnan

The bridge on the River Kwai; this film bears no relation whatsoever to the horrors that POWs suffered at the hands of their Japanese captors, when building the Burma railway.

Those former prisoners who survived Japanese ill-treatment lambasted the nonsensical portrayal of Colonel Nicholson.

William Holden's role, designed to appeal to an American audience is pure fiction.

The film was actually made in Ceylon, and the bridge's resemblance of the Forth Rail Bridge is another David Lean fabrication.

I used to think it was a good film, the storyline, cinematography, etc.

But when I found out the truth, decades after I had initially seen it, it left a sour taste that hasn't dissipated.
