Bloke attendance is a mystery to me . Whether it’s for a party or a social , it’s very poor.

That's the problem with irish guys, all talk no action. We have had countless attempts at trying to meet single guys for Mrs, parties and GBs, literally handed it to them on a plate and we have been let down 99% of the time, most don't even have enough respect to message to say there not coming, it's just radio silence. He arrived slightly late and when I was leaving they had concierge at the door (covid related, residents only) so I guess that's who stopped him.
