Should I stay or Should I go now

Jump to newest

Been here nearly a year, which I had given myself as my time here.

I dont have a bucket list, I dont go perving on fellas, or to the chat rooms. And tbh too much sex talk bores me ... i like chatting and meeting people, and the flirting is fun but sex isnt my primary goal here now.

So now im having that moment that all Fabbers go through... should i stay or should i go?

Stay or go depending on how you feel fab is positively or negatively affecting you. Not because of what people on the forum say

What about some time away and see how you go ? Deleting a profile seems too final . You ll be missed , and you might miss some people and aspects too much even if you continue some friendships outside

Hard to know exactly what’s on your mind so not trying to influence you either way, however it’s really easy to come back if you leave and change your mind. The entrance exam isn’t too bad

Fab is like the Hotel California you can check in but you can't check out! You could hide your profile or delete it and take a break. But you would be missed x

Ach I just like perspective. And to open conversations for others who may be feeling the same.

If you feel that you have experienced all that fab has to offer you and that it owes you nothing then it could be a good time to leave. Leave on a high so you speak.

For my two cents, you’ll be missed

Everyone's definition of active is different.

I've only had one small group social meet since the beginning of last year.

Taking a step back to look at anything in life is always a positive step imo especially if you are unsure. You see things from a different perspective than you do when you are in the middle of it.

As for here, well you have the freedom to dip in and out as you see fit. Take a hiatus and return or not. Whatever floats your boat

My advice is always hide your profile and log out. If, after 6 months, you’ve had no desire to reactivate, delete the profile and walk away.

I get that or a "voyeur" even. I think everyone goes through phases of inactivity and its absolutely fine. Its about how Fab fits into your life not how your life fits into fab.

Maybe leaving will give you the answer?? Leave and miss it(then come back) or realise you're better off and don't.

Have you gotten all you wanted from fab??

I've been here a long time and I have seen a lot of amazing people leave and a lot come come back. Take a break for a while. I'm not a huge participant in the forums but you don't have to be. Just do what you feel is right for you. We all need a little time out

Somewhere in Co. Down

You'd be missed a lot if you do leave. If you feel it's better then hide your profile and see how you feel in a while.

Only you can really decide what you think is best for yourself.

There's nothing to say you have to be doing meets all the time to stay here luckily for me as it's been a fair while since I had any but life outside of here takes priority at times and the last while it has for me.

But I know I would miss you happy attitude on here if you left. S

We hid our profile. We arent meeting. Weve too much going on in the real world. And tbh the allure of meets etc has certainly waned. I pops on and off the forums but even at that now its not doing much for me. Have made some wonderful friends for which im grateful to fab for but personally for us fab is over for now. Maybe hide the profile and take a break for a while and come back when youre ready x

Hide your profile and take a break give it a few weeks than decide if want a few more weeks. I've taking a month out here or there and it's good for the head.

As for active on the sure you do what suits you, not what you think is the norm. I've had one play meet this year and tbh I'm at stage if I never was to meet a guy of here for sex again it honestly wouldn't bother me.

You have been to the Galway social and belfst this weekend enjoy the social side of it if you want.

And you would be missed

It sounds like someone else is seeking the attention .

It’s difficult to properly leave IMO once you’ve discovered this world. Quite apart from the ‘hole getting’ stuff there is all sorts of voyeurism , social , and dopamine hits type reasons to keep coming back . Life outside would have to be properly physically and socially exciting with all sorts of wows and affirmations. I lasted 7 months last year but as I hadn’t deleted my profile it was so so easy to eventually come back in .

Then we decided after a year of covid we wanted back in. And so started a new profile and pictures and verifications

I know we have the option to hide your profile but I wish fab had the option to self lock yourself out for a given time.Give yourself the time you need away without having to delete your profile.

I hide my profile when I'm having doubts about my participation here, get on with life, and get back on here when my enthusiasm returns. I wonder what you get from fab? I don't know the answer. But I've a fair idea what Fab gets from you. You are a very positive contributor on the forum, level headed, and funny. You are the very opposite of the narcissist commenting on this thread, as I've seen some of your uplifting comments over the year. I think you've endeared yourself to many here, so you'll be missed if you leave. Can Fab offer you any more?.. Dogging in Achill, or Leitrim?, or maybe the hottest, coolest, sexiest fwb you haven't met yet? Best of luck, whatever you decide.

It’s takes fortitude, determination and perseverance to stay off this! That’s why I lasted two days when I left it last week.

What I missed were those moments during the day when you could log on and have a perve, have a chat or whatever. Now I’m back.
