Nothing actually solved. Usual throwing money at things to plug holes that they can't plug.

With the cost of living and inflation going up everyone needed something from the budget as notto feel disenfranchised disenfranchised. Everyone got something meaningful nothing was targeted and realistically addressed tbh I think I'm fuckjbg awesome at everything I'd hate trying to do a budget like that

Let’s all try to remember that they had to borrow a hell of lot of money to get us through the 18 months etc,

So it’s no surprise that it has to be payed back whether we like it or not.

Nothings for free and paying back will start unfortunately so don’t be so shocked

I’ve also worked non stop but the fact is not everyone did and that’s part of many other reasons why the debt is so big!

All I’m saying is nothing is for free and everybody will have to contribute back into the pot through one way or another whether it’s fuel, gas, food, insurance and I’m sure the churches funds for the never ending roof repairs they’ve got going on will have to go up

Oh I get that but can't understand how so many people not working and yet every other place looking for staff. It's just frustrating trying to keep head above water

I know I know

Tw*ts moan about not being able to get a job and yet the nation and others screaming out for well abled workers!

Think this goes deep into a society issue that’s been brewing for some time at this stage

"Welfare giveaway budget "

Have to say we are relieved that people who have an absolute requirement for welfare have been given an increase and in most instances it will never be enough.

However, we do have an issue with those who take advantage of welfare, who are well capable of taking up work and contributing to society but instead spend years upon years on jobseekers etc

Just cannot understand how Government cannot stamp this issue out

I think its well balanced actually, increase rate bands on tax and usc, minimum wage raise

expanding incomd threshold for 3rd level students and reducing the 'qualifying distance'... this hasnt changed in 10 years or more.

Free contraception for women 17-25 is an unanticipated, very welcome addition

Most places in Killarney are looking for staff. Problem is people are getting pup and other payments and doing cash in hand jobs. So they dont want to return to the workforce. This was related to me by a couple of hotel managers in the town. One deli advertised part time staff at €14 per hour with hours to suit in the last fortnight and are still looking!!!.

In my own opinion I think it was a pretty fair budget considering the amount of money the country borrowed during the pandemic.

In general it is what it is, the budget. I was happy to see contraception being offered but such a wasted opportunity to not offer it to men also, why not condoms. Surely they can't expect women to be solely responsible for contraception

The free sanitary products should become a country wide thing too. I know it wasn't in the budget but was in the news today.

I get that this past 2 years have to be paid for but you can be guaranteed that there will be no decrease in the cost of living once this mess is all paid.. Covid is and will be used for years as an excuse to gouge us for more money..

"So how do you all feel about the budget??. Is it really going to benefit the working class families??.Could he have given more??"

I think they're THE greatest shower of fuckwits ..they give a €5 a week to pensioners yet the cost of fuel is going through the roof by 9%...and that's only 1 thing... petrol is heading for €1.70 a litre...how the fuck are the low to middle income workers supposed to keep propping up this Country ..they get crucified ALL the time ..then that arrogant c**t in Electric Ireland said last week if people can't afford to pay their electric bill to contact SVP or MABS ..well my message to you Margaruite Sayers...GO FUCK YOURSELF !! CONDESCENDING C**T ...

I think it's fair to say pensioners get plenty it's gone over 250 per week now.

It's a fair budget we are just coming out of covid.
