Well done. Keep yourself occupied and you'll be grand. Loads of water and fruit.

Maybe change the terminology. It could be misconstrued on a swing site

I know it’s tough, off them 3 months now and not a bother. One bit of advise is to stop talking about them. Try and move on.

Give the helpline for getting of them a call. This is a big step, you’ve achieved a lot already.

Cork

Quit.ie started on that 5 years ago and found it a great crutch to lean on. I’d advise even downloading the app just to see how much money a day/week/month you are saving by being of the smokes. Great motivational tool. Stay with it and try to keep yourself occupied. Best of luck

Based in Kerry, work in Cork.

Whenever you get a craving for one try to imagine yourself getting violently sick. Really visualise it and almost embody it as much as you can given the situation you are in.

This helped me a lot bcos it became an automatic response to cravings and the cravings were immediately replaced.

I don't get cravings anymore but sometimes when I see someone else smoking I'll do the same visualisation to try to reinforce it.

Good stuff, you’ll feel good in morn. Try and get out and light jog or fast walk to get lungs working, you’ll appreciate the damage they were doing. Good luck

Keep reminding yourself of the why? Why am I giving them up?

I've never smoked so I don't understand the cravings. But I had a poor relationship with junkfood due to an unpredictable work timetable. Recently started back eating properly, not dieting, just making better food choices. Every time I feel the urge for the breakfast roll or the fast food lunches I remind myself of why I gave it up. Works pretty well for me.
