October strength challenge

Hey guys, who wants to join me in a little challenge.. my upper body strength is crap and im especially bad at push ups . So starting 1st of October I'm doing 1 push up.. 2nd two and so on.. I done it last month but with "girl" push ups, so this month I'm focusing on real push ups. Anyone want to join me?

How's things going ? I know you've only started but fair play to you hope you enjoy it too, it is good , l once upon a time entered a local sports competition , 10 events ,and one event was a combined press up /skipping one , 1 minute doing each and then add the total ,l did 65 press ups in a minute, which was the highest but the skipping was a disaster, no co-ordination at all but now l love skipping and do it very regularly for 20 mins each time ,it really is the most dynamic exercise of all especially for people who want to do areobic exercises and who don't want to be pounding the roads and Fucking up their joints , their ankles..knees..hips .,so best wishes my friend on your press up month, l look forward to reading your updates

If looking for an exercise to prevent injuries to a body, nothing like skipping ,well l think so anyway ,every muscle in your body is working while skipping ,and helps tone muscle .

Never mind just pushup...go to a pilates class & slowly get your whole body strength...and instead of a push up try The Plank... start with 10 seconds

I’m in on this… starting back with the floor routine tomorrow and push ups added to the mix.

I previously got shaky around 10-12… will work on improving this number.

So, I've been hard at it . And I'm proud to say that, although I haven't really exercised in quite some time, I've been doing full, proper push-ups . Most I've been able to do in one go is 9 but the last one always loses that bit of form.

But as the days go by and numbers increase and muscles ache, I'm having to split them into sets, usually getting to 7 or so now .

I'm actually thinking I might keep going beyond the month of October! It's been fun. Thanks for the incentive...

So I've been trying to play catch-up over the last couple of days, which as the numbers creep up, is a right ol' biatch

I've done 20 this morning, proud to say I can do sets of 10 but I fear that'll be the end of sets of 10 as I have 70 more to do today if I am to complete on time

Can do it with either push-ups or squats, its tough but vgood

Not lecturing, but you shouldn’t say hope. You’re giving yourself a way out. Decide that you are doing it or you’re not doing it. Make a decision either way, tis half the battle.

Since last Friday I have gone out for a walk and did 7k yesterday. Also did every day before walk stretching exercises plus 2 sets of 5 each of press ups, mountain climbers, sit ups and squats. Plus 2 sets 15 seconds plank. Will increase next week
