Hire a babysitter anyway, say the kid is asleep upstairs and not to be woken.

When you get home later that evening, go mental and ask where the child has gone.

I dont think she is cut out for anymore babysitting

You've traumatised her for life. She'll never even have children of her own. Now put that into practice for lots of 'em - overpopulation sorted
