"I haven’t been home for a few years now and I’m thinking about flying back to Dublin for a few days! I’m not that far away…. Just Edinburgh! Is it truly as bad in terms of COVID as what folk are saying? Every time I go on RTE the place looks proper f**ked like! " Overseas travel particularly for a short journey like that is very safe If you’re doubly vaccinated Planes are Nano filtered , you can distance in airports , the journey is short , you ll be wearing masks I recently did it no problem and doing it again soon If you’re super worried get a ferry from Stranraer to Belfast then drive. You can decide distances From other passengers on ferries There is no way In my book that people should be missing out on contact with loved ones because of covid . It’s a manageable pandemic now and all restrictions pretty much are being removed late October | |||

" Fuck the news Both governments allow you to travel You need a locator form to come to Ireland Don’t need one going back Have your covid cert handy you ll need it everywhere No need to quarantine If you develop symptoms it’s a different story | |||

Think that's only if you fly into Dublin | |||

Having it no longer means getting sick or passing it on necessarily That’s not to say it’s over , or don’t be careful But if vaccinated , we need to all live with it . Travel since the 19th July is ok . I mean Nphet have no issue with festivals let alone a 50 minute plane journey | |||

Think that's only if you fly into Dublin " He is meant to complete one but that journey is never ever monitored They take about 2 minutes to complete anyway No tests required between Ireland and Scotland U.K. travellers to the EU post brexit face far more complicated journeys form wise and tests wise | |||
