One of the common themes here is Ladies/Couples getting numerous messages, bulk delete of messages is a common occurance and I've seen it as many a status update.

Would a bulk reply be a useful feature?

For example, reply to all unread mail with a "thank but no thanks".

Would it prevent the whingers from whinging.....or just encourage to mail again

Another piggy back feature would be to prevent the recipients of these messages to be unable to message you again unless you message them.

Your thoughts?

Would it not be easier for those whinging about getting so much mail to just use their available filters?

The status updates about being inundated are just humble brags when there is a very simple way of dealing with it.

Anyone with hundreds of unread messages needs those numbers just like a lot of guys need a sky remote.

To be fair, it's difficult to change the channels on the TV if you haven't the remote so they do come in handy

"To be fair, it's difficult to change the channels on the TV if you haven't the remote so they do come in handy"

Exactly. And you can choose what channel you want to watch and the quality of programme rather than complaining there's nothing good on.

A bulk reply feature treats all messages with equal distain regardless of content.

It's more for all unread mail, where the recipient have viewed the sender's profile and believes they aren't compatible or don't meet their criteria.

I dont have single males blocked, I'm straight and it's cleared displayed on my profile, yet...single guys message everyday offering, I'm sure ladies who want to meet single guys get messages from single guys who don't match what they are looking for, height etc so they can't filter that out

How many times has it been said on here...

Even the most polite, well intentioned woman will get quickly pissed off by replying to all mails because this usually just keeps the conversation going instead of having the desired effect of ending it. Some people don't take rejection well and will beg, plead then resort to insults so. So no reply at all is often the best for both parties

Some people are going to feel aggrieved no matter what.

Zero need for a bulk reply when no reply means no thanks

Plus if you reply and change your filters they can still mail you.

Not exactly what OP suggested, but I've done a social experiment once : I sent a copy pasted reply to every copy pasted message.

Most men weren't amused by lack of personal touch.

Think the fact that my copy pasted reply didn't even go with their original message was the reason why they weren't overly happy about it
