somewhere

Possibly the worst job i ever did

Mind him during a book signing after 10,000 people turned up for his gig

Mostly young white men who worshipped the ground he walked on and hung onto every word he said

He signed his book for me at the end as we chatted

I put it in the recycling bin

He's a Canadian lecturer/ professor. He came into the limelight a few years ago when the Canadian government decided to make it law for ppl to use particular pro-nouns for different trans gender community. Peterson rejected the idea saying it was taking away freedom of speech and that it could bring us on the wrong path, but has since become very popular with a huge following of mainly, as BogM pointed out going males.

He talks a good show and I know I would like to get into a debate with him cause that's one debate you ain't gonna win.

I was curious to see who would know him and if it was more male or female.

Yes and No.

I think he has some interesting views and makes some valid points, but I do think he has gone off the rails in later years.

Egotistical as of recent and is aware of his audience. He's a great at debates, but winning debates does not necessarily mean you're right.

However, he failed to take note of the fact that Bill 316 did not in any way force anybody to use preferred pronouns, nor was that the intent of the bill.

It merely added using people's trans status or identity as protected under law from attacks or hate crimes.

I like his psychology lectures especially his Jung and archetypes stuff

However I take no notice of his culture war and cultural Marxism shite.

I wouldn’t listen to a politician talking about psychology so why would I listen to a psychologist talking about politics

Bullsh*t artist. He ceased being a scientist to become a celebrity. Smart guy, but with a non-scientific agenda that he pushes using his academic knowledge. Worse than outright lying, the stuff he says is 90% true.

He doesn't need to have a scientific agenda. A lot of what he says is just common sense but some that live to be perpetually offended take offense. I'm a live and let live type person and he doesn't offend me. I've never heard him say anything overtly offensive but I understand why non binaries, etc would be put out with him. He is disliked because he speaks his mind and chooses his words but at least he never shouts down those he doesn't agree with. I like that he wants a dialogue on whatever the discussion is. His logic is just too much for some.

"He's a Canadian lecturer/ professor. "

Don’t let him taint all Canadians. He’s gone off the deep end, drug induced coma in Russia, books with with biblical references to everything now. The in depth knowledge of social science makes him a powerful speaker, and some of what he peddled has some validity, but he shot his load once the celebrity went to his head.

Whack job. That’s his current status update.

I like his lectures And some of his stuff on society and families.

But it's just one person's opinion.

I often think people get swept up in things and don't critical think or analysis things for themselves.

I don't think he's as right wing as he's perceived and generally has good logic, evidence and reading behind his points.

Like all things people have to make there own decisions.

Personally I like him, as another poster said he's open to dialogue on any discussion, but his logic is a sometimes too much for some, namely the perpetually offended. The movie A few good men springs to mind where Jack Nicholson shouts from the witness box "You can't handle the truth"
