We had heard lately that you cannot operate one without a full licence but looking for clarity.

Dublin west

If you using it in your own property it could be blowing flames out the sides and they can't do anything about it.

Just keep it off the public roads.

Not sure if op is being serious or not with this post but as long as you're not on public roads with it you can do what you like on it. Get it chipped and drag race it up and down your driveway

Insurers exclude the use of the lawnmower if under 12, some give rta cover (public road use) but alas it’s being excluded by more and more insurers each year

You do not need a license to operate it though from a law or insurance point of view

Few films spring to mind.

The Straight Story (1994)

The Lawnmower Man (1992)

Drive (2019)

Baby Driver (2017)

Im sure if you are using it around your own property it will be fine. There was a man killed last year using one on a golf course. He hadnt been given a proper induction on how to use it.

Like anything if it’s private land or public. No licence required on private land the same way as you don’t need a drivers licence on private land. A great example is Jonathan Rae world super bike champion 6 years in a row who only got a bike licence in 2021. Insurance is a separate matter
