Why can’t I see profiles in the north of Ireland?

Because their profiles setting

are set to UK region. Your profile is Ireland.

Apologies, only gave you half an answer. If you change your country to the UK in the "looking for" settings you should be able to see profiles in Northern Ireland that have their country set to UK also
