An earlier topic today reminds me of how we should be trying to stay safe on meets. This is what I personally do on a coffee date never let them see what car I'm driving I've heard too many horror stories of people getting followed home. I meet in a very public place like Kildare Village or a Motorway services and never let them walk me to my car. I always make excuse about needing to get something in shop. I always bring cash never a bank card because it's so easy to see your full name. I stay very vague about work family where I live etc. I always say I have appointment at certain time I have to be at so perfect excuse to be going.

I always try and make my lady friend as comfortable as possible and would let and decisions about the meet down to them.

The more relaxed we are the better the meet imo. So whatever makes everyone comfortable is the way it should go.

It's terrible that we live in a world where this is a thought you need to have in the back of your head when you go to meet someone. There is another thread on here about wierd, rude guys. This is a prime example of why ladies shouldn't publicise that they talk behind the scenes. The people you worry about are predators. They will adapt and conceal their true selves if they know you see who they are. Does that make sense to anyone?

Always meet in a public place myself, park shopping centre etc. Like yourself I bring cash arrive early, some park further away from the agreed place and leave long after they’ve gone or at least go in the opposite direction to them.

I’ve got to know people beforehand, well as best you can. Given out wine, chocolates which some find weird and they’ve probably thrown the lot over the hedge. Each to they’re own on that front. Any how much safer could anyone be?

I do a lot of these things too and I have friends that always know where I'm going and check in on me regularly. I never go straight home from a coffee just in case I'm followed. It's a pity that we have to treat every meet as a potential threat. But it only takes us meeting one bad one for things to get very dangerous.

Don't forget that the only person responsible for your safety is you, so don't put yourself in a situation where a stranger can let you down. These are some tips to help:

* Don't give strangers your home phone number, your usual mobile number or your address or let them know where you work. Buy a spare PAYG SIM for your mobile and use it for initial contacts.

* Don't rely on strangers for transport, so don't agree to go somewhere in a car with someone you don't know.

* Don't turn up to strange addresses without having met the people you're expecting, first, beforehand.

* Always meet first somewhere safe and public (a cafe) first.

* Always tell someone you trust who you're going to meet, and where.

* Don't arrange meets without having spoken to the people you're expecting to meet first on phone OR on seen on cam.

* Don't invite strangers into your home.

* Don't put yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up, you'll be upset. So don't travel 100s of miles and book into a hotel in the expectation of meeting someone unless you've met them beforehand.

Always have a fall back up plan text a friend let them know who where and when, a pre typed text u can send quickly if needs be is always handy and never let them know phone numbers that are attached to other social media

That's some scary stuff, sorry to read how some of you ladies were treated and its despicable. Take all the safety advise from others and make some ground rules for yourself like OP.

Very shitty but I suppose just be careful and hope that you can get adult fun without meeting violent psychos.

A friend always knows were I am for any meet planned. You can never be too careful no matter how nice someone comes accross that can change very quickly. Stay safe everyone male and female can never be too uncertain..

So sorry to anyone who has experienced the things on this thread.

I had a few meets that in hindsight were quite risky, it wasn't until a friend of mine met someone for sex on grinder before he came out and was beaten, robbed and threatened with exposure, that I thought about it. (He went straight to police and came out later that week, he is now doing really well and yes the persons were caught but never actually charged in the end due to he said she said type scenario)

After that I only met people in very public places or parties with others I knew.

I might be a "man" and 100% women are definitely more exposed, but like life in do believe this is a minority of people who are this way.

Keyboard warriors are everywhere but real evil people are few and far between.

I hope if I ever go back to meeting (not due to other reasons) I get to meet all the nice ones here.

I'll definitely be careful as always
